General Dynamics has developed a new R8000 firmware release 1.16.0. It can be downloaded from their website here:

This firmware release includes AutoTune support for:

  • Motorola APX 7000XE radios
  • Motorola XTS2500/5000 portable 900MHz radios
  • Motorola XTL Series mobile 900MHz radios

This 2014 Firmware release addresses the DMR (TRBO) base station option function along with additional enhancements and improvements. All of which are detailed in the “Change Log” at the bottom of the download page link above.
