<p>The dual-arbitrary waveform generator of the Agilent E4436B allows generation of complex digitally-modulated signals. The I/Q baseband of the unit is ideal for creating modulation types, filter types, and data rates. Its bit error rate (BER) analyzer is optimized for measuring selectivity and sensitivity. It also has the IntuiLink PC software is included in the E4436B as a standard.</p>
<p>Both the FM1 and the FM2 frequency modulation are internally summed. Users can switch both paths to either of the modulation sources including Ext1, Ext2, or INT quickly. The FM2 path has a limit of to a rate of 1MHz max. The deviation of the FM2 path is required to be less than the FM1 path.</p>
