Fluke 2640A and Fluke 2645A Data Acquisition Product Review
The Fluke 2640A and 2645A are versatile data acquisition units (NetDAQ) that are designed to operate as a system comprising of the unit and a computer. These twenty channel front ends are connected to the host computer via an Ethernet network to form a data acquisition system. A networked system utilizes the NetDAQ Logger (Windows based) as the operating environment to enable operators to test and calibrate a unit.
The 2640A and 2645A DAQ units are very similar in appearance and operation, except that their functionality emphasis varies. The 2640A data acquisition unit emphasizes precision and offers up to 100 measurements/second. Additionally, the unit can capably offer up to 5.5 digits of resolution and an accuracy of 0.02%, as well as offering a common mode voltage of 150 volts.
Fast And Reliable
Known for its reliability and speed, he 2645A data acquisition unit is designed to deliver an increased measurement speed. It is engineered to produce up to 1000 measurements/second and also 4.5 digits of resolution. The 2645A model also excels with a 0.04% accuracy and a common mode voltage of 50 volts.
The 2640A data acquisition will give technicians the ability to achieve a maximum reading rate of 143 readings per second. With the drift correction enabled, the 2640A offers a maximum single-channel scan reading rate of 80 readings per second. The data acquisition unit provides operators with a thermocouple accuracy of 0.3°C. The 2640A can effectively offer a Resistance-Temperature Detectors Resolution of 0.003°C and a resistance temperature detectors accuracy of 0.12°C.
Advanced Technology at a Nice Price
The 2645A data acquisition unit offers an impressive 1000 readings per second. Its advanced technology is designed to allow a maximum single-channel scan reading rate of 250 readings per second. Test technicians are able to attain this value when the drift correction is enabled. On the other hand, the DAQ unit is capable of achieving a maximum single-channel scan reading rate of 400 readings per second when the drift correction is disabled. A thermocouple accuracy of 0.6°C can be easily achieved, ensuring highly accurate test and measurement results. Moreover, the 2645A data acquisition unit offers a Resistance-Temperature Detectors Resolution of 0.03°C and a resistance temperature detectors accuracy of 0.2°C.
The advanced technology and feature set of Fluke products are very popular and well regarded by our customers when used in the field or on the test bench. Both The Fluke 2640A and 2645A models can measure ac volts, dc volts, temperature, ohms, dc current, and frequency. These well priced instruments intelligently utilize resistance-temperature detectors or thermocouples for temperature measurements. In addition, the 2640A and 2645A both feature one totalizing input, eight digital input/output channels, one trigger output, one trigger input (external), and one alarm output. Both the 2640A and 2645A feature an RS-232 port that is ideal for maintenance and servicing procedures. The DAQ units are both designed to accept either ac or dc power source.
